The holiday season is here, and Camp North End is glowing with festive cheer! Their annual Mistletoe Market is back, taking over the first three Saturdays of December from 3 to 8 p.m. Whether you’re hunting for the perfect gift or just soaking up the holiday vibes, this event has something for everyone.

Just 25 minutes from Charlotte, McAdenville, known as Christmas Town U.S.A., dazzles with lights and festive music. The town comes alive on December 2 with the annual tree lighting ceremony, when a local schoolchild flips the switch to illuminate the breathtaking displays.

  • Ways to Enjoy: Drive through the neighborhoods in a caravan or stroll with a warm drink to fully immerse yourself.
  • Tips: Arrive early in December, preferably on a weekday. If walking, arrive before 5 p.m. to secure parking and be ready for the lights at 5:30 p.m.
  • Respect the Residents: Remember these are private homes—don’t trample lawns, and be mindful of your stops to ensure everyone can enjoy the magic.

🎄 Downtown Waxhaw Holiday Events

Touch-a-Truck & Tree Lighting

📍 Location: Downtown Park, 301 Givens Street

Kick off the season exploring police cars, fire trucks, and more during a sensory-friendly hour, enjoy free train rides, holiday crafts, and meet Santa before the tree lights up at 6 p.m. Hot chocolate and sweet treats are available.

Fun fact: Waxhaw stays lit well into January, so exploring during any holiday trip is magical.

Waxhaw Christmas Parade

📍 Location: Downtown Waxhaw

Hometown favorite featuring school marching bands, community floats, and a special guest from the North Pole. Free to watch, with shuttle service available.

🎉 ChristmasVille Festival & Rock Hill Christmas Parade

📍 Location: Old Town Rock Hill, SC

Celebrate the holidays at ChristmasVille, inspired by illustrator Vernon Grant. Nearly 70 events, including gingerbread contests, historic tours, and performances, are mostly free. Ice skating has a small fee.
