There’s something especially meaningful about dance senior photos Charlotte NC sessions when they bring together everything a senior has worked toward over the years. This was actually the second time I got the chance to work with Larsen during her senior year. I first met her during her dance team media day with Cuthbertson High School, and from that moment, I knew her senior portraits would be something truly memorable.
As a Charlotte senior and sports photographer, I get to document not just how seniors look at this moment. This is a nod to who they’ve become through years of dedication, discipline, and growth. Larsen’s senior photography session felt like the perfect reflection of her journey—creative, confident, and full of movement—set in a beautiful floral field in Charlotte, North Carolina. From college pride to expressive dance portraits, every part of her session told a story worth remembering.

UNC Charlotte Senior Pride
We began Larsen’s session in a soft floral field just outside Charlotte, where golden light filtered through the blooms. She started in her college T-shirt, proudly representing her future home at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. For a fun addition, I brought along one of my pennants to celebrate this exciting next chapter.
These first images felt simple and powerful—honest moments that captured both where she is right now and where she is headed. The combination of the open field, soft light, and her natural excitement created the perfect start to her senior session.
Pretty in Pink Poppies
Larsen changed into a soft blue dress that photographed beautifully with the pink poppies in the floral field. This portion of her dance senior photos Charlotte NC session shifted into a more fun and exciting session.
The light stayed warm and golden as we worked through a mix of natural poses and candid movement. Everything about this look felt timeless—soft tones, gentle textures, and a calm confidence that photographed effortlessly.

Yellow Dress & Red Poppy Senior Portraits
Next, Larsen stepped into a bright yellow dress as we moved into a striking field of red poppies. The contrast of color brought so much energy to her portraits. The entire session was bold, joyful, and full of personality. Seeing her twirl and have a blast was so much fun!
This part of the session felt like pure celebration. The florals, the movement of her dress, and her natural confidence all came together in a way that perfectly captured the excitement of senior year in Charlotte, NC.

Golden Hour Dance Senior Photos Charlotte NC Session
As the sun dipped lower, we ended the evening with something deeply meaningful—dance. Larsen has been a competitive dancer for years. Finishing her senior session with movement felt like the perfect way to close her story. Golden hour light wrapped around her as she moved through a series of dance poses in the field. These final images brought everything full circle! Combining artistry, emotion, and years of dedication into the last moments of her dance senior photos Charlotte NC session.
