Most of the time, I’ll help choose the perfect location for you based on your outfit choices, personal vibe, and overall vision. Think of it like styling a look—you wouldn’t wear a sequin dress and heels in a field (you’d sink and lose the sparkle!), and you wouldn’t park a lifted country truck in the middle of uptown Charlotte. The location and look should feel cohesive and natural together.

I keep a close eye on the forecast as your session approaches—and fun fact, as a mom of a meteorologist, I like to think I’ve got a bit of an inside scoop when it comes to staying ahead of the weather (as much as humanly possible, anyway!).
That said, weather can still be unpredictable, so I typically wait until about 24 hours before your session to make any final calls. If it’s just clouds or a low rain chance, we can usually work around it. But if it looks like it might really impact your session, I’ll reach out to either shift the time or reschedule altogether.
This is also why it’s super important to complete your planning questionnaire early! Knowing if you’ve booked professional hair and makeup—or have other details I should factor in—helps me make the best decision for you. I want to make sure everything runs smoothly and your glam stays fresh.
