As a mom and Charlotte children’s photographer, I know how important it is to find fun, safe, and family-friendly places for kids to play, especially when the Carolina heat kicks in. One of our favorite ways to keep little ones entertained during the summer is visiting splash pads in South Charlotte and the surrounding areas. From fully fenced playgrounds for toddlers to interactive water features near shopping centers, these spots are perfect for a day of water-filled fun with your family.

Whether you live in Waxhaw, Indian Land, Indian Trail, or South Charlotte, here are my top picks for splash pads that I personally recommend for families.

As a mom and Charlotte children’s photographer, I know how quickly these carefree summer seasons pass. The giggles, the messy hair, the soaking wet hugs after a splash pad adventure — these are the moments that make childhood magical. If you’d love to capture your little ones exactly as they are in this season, I’d love to help you document it with a relaxed, joy-filled studio milestone session designed just for families in Waxhaw, Union County, and the greater Charlotte area.
